The Maze of the Mind
Original Hand Drawing
,
85 × 120 cm
The drawing depicts impossible staircases, doors that appear where no room should exist, and bridges connecting spaces that defy conventional logic. The deeper you travel inward, the less certain you become of scale, time, or direction – a visual reflection of how thought and memory expand, fold, and loop in on themselves.
This architecture is unsettling because of its familiarity: it mirrors the environments we inhabit and carry inside us. Cities, streets, and rooms migrate with memory, and spaces once external become embedded within consciousness. The work functions as psychological geography, mapping biography spatially rather than chronologically – not as a straight path, but as detours, pauses, returns, and disappearances.
The Maze of the Mind is both personal and universal, inviting the viewer to navigate their own internal corridors, confronting uncertainty, reflection, and the perpetual motion of thought.
