Don Kalervo

DonKalervo was born in Helsinki, on the island of Suomenlinna, and has spent nearly all his life by the sea. The ocean and the light of the South-West Archipelago of Finland have always been his greatest sources of inspiration.

The Dreamscapes / Painter of the Horizons concept was born in 2021, when DonKalervo discovered his identity as a Paintographer — painting light through the camera. Since then, he has exhibited in Paris, participated in the Les Journées Bleues art and science project connected to the Sorbonne, and moved to Paris with his partner and fellow artist Sido. He continues to exhibit actively in both France and Finland.

DonKalervo was part of LUX Helsinki 2026 with “Blue Dream” light installation.
